CORRECTIONS
See something that needs updating?
Businesses change, details change and published information can become outdated. ThreeNearMe welcomes factual corrections and relevant new information so published recommendations can be reviewed when needed.
Corrections are reviewed before changes are made, and updating a fact does not automatically change an editorial recommendation.
Factual updates welcome Reviewed before changes No automatic ranking changes
WHAT TO SEND
Useful corrections are specific and verifiable.
The clearest correction requests identify the specific published detail that may be wrong or outdated and provide enough context for ThreeNearMe to review it.
Where useful, include a current public source or other relevant information that helps support the requested update.
Business-provided factual information can be useful. ThreeNearMe reviews it in context and may check available public information where relevant.
The more specific the correction, the easier it is to review the right fact.Providing information supports review; it does not guarantee an editorial outcome.
Changed business details
Business name, website, contact details, operating information or other factual details that are no longer accurate.
Service or location changes
Updated service areas, physical locations, services offered or meaningful capability changes that affect how the business should be described.
Relevant supporting information
A current public source or other useful context that helps ThreeNearMe understand and verify the requested correction.
WHAT CORRECTIONS CAN CHANGE
Correcting a fact and changing a recommendation are not the same thing.
A factual correction can update published information when the available evidence supports the change. That is different from changing an editorial recommendation.
Meaningful new evidence may justify another look at a recommendation, but a request alone does not determine the outcome.
Corrections improve accuracy.Editorial changes require editorial judgement.
Factual information can be updated
If a published detail is inaccurate or outdated, it can be reviewed and corrected where the available evidence supports the change.
New evidence can prompt reconsideration
Material new information may justify another look at an existing editorial recommendation, but it does not automatically change the outcome.
Requests do not determine selection
A business or reader can ask ThreeNearMe to review information, but cannot determine Top Three inclusion or editorial position.
HOW IT WORKS
Send the information. We'll review what needs changing.
The current corrections pathway is simple: contact ThreeNearMe with the published information that may be wrong or outdated and provide any useful context that can help with review.
What happens next depends on the information. A factual update may require a straightforward correction, while material new evidence affecting a recommendation may require broader editorial review.
Send the correction
Use the current Contact pathway and identify the published information that may be wrong or outdated. Include useful supporting context where available.
Information is reviewed
ThreeNearMe considers the correction and any relevant supporting information against the available evidence before deciding what needs to change.
Publish the appropriate update
Where a factual change is supported, the published information can be updated. If new information materially affects an editorial recommendation, that may require a separate editorial review.
